NP Retail: Our cloud-based POS solution is now available in over 100 countries worldwide!

WRITTEN BY 3. February 2023February 7th, 2023No Comments

Last month, Microsoft announced that Business Central is now available to serve customers in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. As the number of countries where Business Central is available increases, the number of countries where our cloud-based POS solution (NP Retail) is available also escalates. The reason for this is that our NP Retail solution is available in the same countries as Business Central.

We are extremely pleased to be able to offer our NP Retail solution to retailers in more than 100 countries worldwide, enabling them to start using our cloud-based POS solutions and take advantage of all the benefits this solution can bring to them.

Below we’ll give you more information on why retailers should move their POS systems to the cloud, as well as how we monitor our NP Retail solution to be safe and fast with telemetry.

1. Go Cloud, or Go Home: The benefits of using cloud solutions

Although the term cloud is not new, its meaning is unclear for many. In order to understand its meaning, it is most important to understand what benefits cloud solutions bring to companies.

Here are a few reasons why companies are embracing the cloud and why that growth shows no sign of ending:

1.1 Security:

Many cloud providers offer a broad set of policies, technologies, and controls that strengthen your security posture overall, helping protect your data, apps, and infrastructure from potential threats.

1.2 Affordable:

Cloud computing eliminates the capital expense of buying hardware and setting up and running on-site datacenters. Simply put, cloud computing is the delivery of computing services, and actually means that you only pay for the services you use when you need them.

1.3 Upgrades:

The technology upgrades automatically. Cloud computing makes data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity easier and less expensive as data can be mirrored at multiple redundant sites on the cloud provider’s network.

1.4 Scalability:

The benefits of cloud computing services include the ability to scale elastically. In Cloudspeak, that means delivering the right amount of IT resources—for example, more or less computing power, storage, bandwidth—right when they’re needed, and from the precise geographic location.

1.5 Productivity:

On-site datacenters typically require a lot of “racking and stacking”—hardware setup, software patching, and other time-consuming IT management chores. Cloud computing removes the need for many of these tasks so that IT teams can spend time on achieving more important business goals.

1.6 Flexibility:

Many cloud services are accessible via the Internet. This has benefits when it comes to business continuity. If your office burns down or is flooded, you can still access your data and applications from an alternative location. Staff may also be able to work from home, accessing cloud-based services via their home broadband connections.

2. User experience (UX) first: A great user experience significantly improves customer retention

To stay ahead, as a company we are aware that we need to focus not only on delivering good products and services, but also on an excellent customer experience. This requires seeing things from the client’s perspective and solving certain challenges even before the client notices them.

For this purpose, we use telemetry to predict in advance that our NP Retail solution is running smoothly, and that our customers have no system problems that could disrupt their daily activities. Monitoring telemetry gives us insight into the activities and overall health of our solution, enabling us to diagnose problems in time and analyze operations that affect performance.

For example, in this way we can monitor the speed of our POS system for all customers, whether certain buttons on the POS system react quickly, if some automated procedures work well or not, whether an error message occurs, and so on.

3. Don’t let the wrong technology ruin the experience of your customers
