Today, it’s our great pleasure to announce that on 28 November 2023 our product team released a new version of the NP Retail solution (NP Retail Version 27.0).
In this version, our primary emphasis was on aligning our NP Retail solution with the fiscal regulations in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Bulgaria. Alongside this, we dedicated effort to further enhance our POS Editor. Additionally, we empowered users of our POS solution to extract customer data from Belgian electronic ID cards, facilitating its seamless integration into Business Central for subsequent processing.
Here’s a summary of our recent efforts over the past month to enhance our NP Retail solution for our valued customers. Let’s explore these new features in detail:

1. Fiscalization compliance with Serbian fiscal law

2. Fiscalization compliance with Croatian and Slovenian fiscal laws
Starting with version 27, NP retail will be compliant with Croatian and Slovenian fiscal laws. 4. POS editor visual improvements
Regarding the visual enhancements for our POS Editor, we have two noteworthy updates to share with you in this version:
- The first: A new layout Classic 6 has been added to the POS editor. It provides a new layout/structure of buttons and grids that you can use on the POS.
- The second: You can now also use the color picker to change the color of any button in the POS layout instead of having to manually paste the color hex value of your choice.

5. Belgian eID reader for POS operators
This functionality enables POS operators to read customer data from Belgian electronic ID cards, making it available in Business Central for further processing. It is important to emphasize that additional programming is required to adapt the implementation to each retailer’s unique requirements for handling customer data. There is no pre-set implementation, as retailers may have different preferences regarding the type of data required, as well as how the data should be processed.
The advantages of leveraging this feature include the ability for retailers to seamlessly integrate with various loyalty services, offering Belgian customers discounts or vouchers based on their information.
