Challenges: The new Point of Sale solution that seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
As an existing user of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Genesis Import GmbH sought a new POS solution that would seamlessly integrate with their current ERP system. Before implementing NaviPartner’s NP Retail solution, Genesis Import tried three different POS systems over the last three years. However, the previous POS systems failed to integrate well with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, as required by their operations.
Due to the nature of their business, the immediate booking of invoices was essential for Genesis Import. Additionally, the capability to generate prepayment invoices through the POS system and send them directly to customers via email was crucial. When customers come to pick up their orders, the warehouse can only prepare and deliver the shipment once the invoice has been paid and booked in Microsoft Business Central. This process was slow and inefficient with other POS systems. With NaviPartner’s solution, the prepayment invoice is generated on the POS system and recorded in the ERP system. Once the customer pays the invoice, the warehouse can promptly release the order. This efficiency is especially important for Genesis Import, as they frequently sell products to other companies at trade fairs, where generating and sending prepayment invoices on the spot is crucial. Furthermore, having all transactions recorded in one centralized system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ensures seamless and efficient operations.
Beyond the challenge of issuing prepayment invoices directly through the POS system, Genesis Import needed the new solution to support their mobile operations. Considering that they sell their products at trade fairs and in their showroom, it was essential for them to be able to serve clients any time and anywhere by using a single mobile device equipped with the mPOS solution.
